Three of the four acrylics shown below are painted with a palette knife: the Liquidambar leaves, the Tuatara (a lizard-like relative of the dinosaurs found only in New Zealand) and the Weta (a very large and fearsome-looking nocturnal cricket, also indigenous). The painting of the Weta hangs in New Zealand's Parliament.
